Aloha Animal Advocates

PROACTIVE PLAN FOR ALL ANIMALS IN THE PATH OF THE LAVA.
Since County won't do anything proactively until after more disaster strikes and won't allow outside experts in to help, WE WILL DO IT OURSELVES. WE NEED FUNDING for kennels, traps, dog houses, rental trucks to move the animals to a safe location which has been donated for use. We will need a local team to set up the shelter structures and then to move the animals. The County is working on the existing situation, we are working on the impending situation. By all expert accounts, there is lots more to come.

KUMUKAHI EMERGENCY CENTER

Kumukahi at Green Lake has teamed up with the BODACIOUS Women of Nanawale Estates and is distributing water and supplies, like non-perishable food, to Kapoho residents daily at 4 pm at Green Mountain. MAP HERE They are serving the area of lower Kapoho from Papaya Farms to Pohoiki and Vacation Land.

THEY ARE DISTRIBUTING TO THOSE IN NEED AS WELL AS SEEKING DONATIONS. Because Kapoho has no water, it's becoming a sanitation issue. KUMUKAHI is seeking new 55-gallon garbage cans that residents can use to store water for use in flushing toilets. They are also seeking donations of PET FOOD and MEDICAL DISASTER KITS. Read more about them in this 2015 article.
